Five-college Malaysian CNY Dinner (Pioneer Valley)

This is my first Chinese New Year away from home. :(
As my Facebook newsfeed was saturated with CNY Open Houses, cookies and feasts, all I could do was sit in my dorm and drool. It didn't help that my parents were constantly Whatsapp-ing me pictures of super delicious homecooked food! I missed my family a lot!

Lucky for me, I still got to celebrate CNY with fellow Malaysians :D
We got together in Mount Holyoke College. (Where most of them studied at!)

So the attendees were all Malaysians (and some Singaporeans) from UMass, Mt. Holyoke and Smith College. There were probably around 20 of us?

As with all Malaysian celebrations....  lots of FOOOOD.
Here we have sambal terung (eggplant), curry chicken, Bak Kut Teh and some large chocolate chips I got from UMass Dining.

Sushi for fillers.

The bak kut teh was soo good. Warmed us up since it was freezing outside!

Satisfying!

Annabelle and I :)

Awesome homemade guilingao and cookies for dessert.

Malaysian Mount holyoke college girls :)

Twas a fun night!
