Home-Grown Salad Rocket (Arugula)

Yiyi brought back some salad rocket seeds for our home helper, Rinda to attempt growing at home!
And it turned out really successful! We no longer have to buy expensive salad rocket again. :)
( It tastes like the real deal, plus no pesticides. ORGANIC!!! )

We totally did not expect it to grow as great as it did as we've never heard of growing rocket in Malaysia. Haha. Mostly in cold weather only.

They were really pretty to photograph!
Do click to enlarge! :)

Harvesting....

.... and finally as a delicious, refreshing salad!

But to be honest I'm not a big fan of rocket. ( I used to be. )
It was because my mom once gave me an entire bag of rocket as my lunch.
It's really "spicy" and "herb-ey". Not really something I would eat in large quantities.
An acquired taste, I guess.

Have you ever tried growing your own herbs? :)

  2. Hi! What an eye opener!
    Bravo to you.

May I know where did you get your supply of fertilizers + soil from? And do you have any pest problem at all?

p.s. keep up the good work!
